²⁶因為妓女使人只剩一塊餅，

通姦的婦人（“通姦的婦人”直譯是“人的妻子”）獵取人寶貴的生命。

²⁷如果人把火藏在懷裡，

他的衣服怎能不燒著呢？

²⁸如果人在火炭上行走，

他的腳怎能不灼傷呢？
