⁹ ‘As for you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father, and serve him wholeheartedly and with a willing mind,^(A) for the Lord searches every heart and understands the intention of every thought.^(B) If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you abandon him, he will reject you for ever.^(C)

¹⁶ Those from every tribe of Israel who had determined in their hearts to seek the Lord their God followed the Levites to Jerusalem to sacrifice to the Lord, the God of their ancestors.

⁴ He told the people of Judah to seek the Lord God of their ancestors and to carry out the instruction and the commands.

¹² Then they entered into a covenant to seek the Lord God of their ancestors with all their heart and all their soul.^(A)
