² If I have the gift of prophecy^(A) and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so that I can move mountains,^(B) but do not have love, I am nothing.

¹⁸ Timothy, my son, I am giving you this instruction in keeping with the prophecies^(A) previously made about you, so that by recalling them you may fight the good fight,

⁶ Therefore, I remind you to rekindle the gift of God that is in you through the laying on of my hands.^(A)
