²¹ Then he stretched himself out over the boy three times.^(A) He cried out to the Lord and said, ‘Lord my God, please let this boy’s life come into him again! ’

³⁴ Then he went up and lay on the boy:^(A) he put mouth to mouth, eye to eye, hand to hand. While he bent down over him, the boy’s flesh became warm.^(B)

²³ When Jesus came to the leader’s house, he saw the flute players and a crowd lamenting loudly.^{(A) 24} ‘Leave,’ he said, ‘because the girl is not dead but asleep.’^(B) And they laughed at him.

³⁹ He went in and said to them, ‘Why are you making a commotion and weeping?^(A) The child^(B) is not dead but asleep.’^(C)
