¹³ And the three eldest sons of Jesse went and followed Saul to the battle. And the names of his three sons that went to battle were Eliab the eldest, and the next Abinadab, and the third Shammah.

¹⁴ So David was the least. And the three eldest went after Saul.

¹⁵ David also went; but he returned from Saul to feed his father’s sheep in Bethlehem.
