¹⁹And Samuel grew, and Jehovah was with him, and let none of his words fall to the ground.

⁸⁰The child grew up and became strong in spirit,^[a]^(A) and he was in the wilderness until the day of his public appearance to Israel.

⁸⁰—And the child grew and was strengthened in spirit; and he was in the deserts until the day of his shewing to Israel.
