¹⁹ Eber had two sons. One son was named Peleg [^C“divided”], because the people on the earth were divided [^Cinto different language groups or districts] during his ·life [^Ldays]. Peleg’s brother was named Joktan.

²⁰ Joktan was the father of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah, ²¹ Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah, ²² ·Obal [or Ebal; Gen. 10:28], Abimael, Sheba, ²³ Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab. All these were Joktan’s sons.
