7 So the people of Kiriath-jearim came for the ark of the Lord and took it to Abinadab’s house on the hill.^(A) They consecrated his son Eleazar to take care of it.

³ They set the ark of God on a new cart and transported it from Abinadab’s house, which was on the hill. Uzzah and Ahio,^[a] sons of Abinadab, were guiding the cart^(A)

⁴ and brought it with the ark of God from Abinadab’s house on the hill. Ahio walked in front of the ark.

⁷ At Abinadab’s house^(A) they set the ark of God on a new cart. Uzzah and Ahio^[a] were guiding the cart.
