¹⁰ He has delivered^(A) us from such a terrible death,^(B) and he will deliver us. We have put our hope in him that he will deliver us again,

² and that we may be delivered^(A) from wicked and evil people, for not all have faith.^[a]

¹¹ along with the persecutions and sufferings^(A) that came to me in Antioch,^(B) Iconium,^(C) and Lystra.^(D) What persecutions I endured – and yet the Lord rescued me from them all.

¹⁷ But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that I might fully preach the word and all the Gentiles might hear it. So I was rescued from the lion’s mouth.
