²² And Menahem ^[a]lay down with his fathers, and his son Pekahiah became king in his place.

Pekahiah over Israel

²³ In ^(A)the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekahiah the son of Menahem became king over Israel in Samaria, and reigned for two years. ²⁴ He did evil in the sight of the Lord; he did not desist from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, into which he misled Israel.
