⁸ I will cut off the inhabitant ^(A)from Ashdod,
And the one who holds the scepter from Ashkelon;
I will ^(B)turn My hand against Ekron,
And ^(C)the remnant of the Philistines shall perish,”
Says the Lord God.

⁴ For ^(A)Gaza shall be forsaken,
And Ashkelon desolate;
They shall drive out Ashdod ^(B)at noonday,
And Ekron shall be uprooted.
