Apenas recibió el libro, los cuatro seres vivientes y los veinticuatro ancianos se postraron ante el Cordero; todos tenían cítaras y copas de oro llenas de perfume, que son las oraciones de los santos. Y cantaban a coro este cántico nuevo:

— Digno eres de recibir el libro
y romper sus sellos,
porque has sido degollado
y con tu sangre has adquirido para Dios
gentes de toda raza,
lengua, pueblo y nación,
10 y has constituido con ellas
un reino de sacerdotes
que servirán a nuestro Dios
y reinarán sobre la tierra.

And when he had taken it, the four living creatures(A) and the twenty-four elders(B) fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp(C) and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers(D) of God’s people. And they sang a new song, saying:(E)

“You are worthy(F) to take the scroll
    and to open its seals,
because you were slain,
    and with your blood(G) you purchased(H) for God
    persons from every tribe and language and people and nation.(I)
10 You have made them to be a kingdom and priests(J) to serve our God,
    and they will reign[a] on the earth.”(K)
