17 主の命令には、どんなことでも進んで従いなさい。 18 でなければ、決して「よし」とは言ってくださいません。事がうまくいき、約束の地を占領できるかどうかは、心から主にお従いするかどうかにかかっているのです。 19 主の助けさえあれば、敵を追い出すことぐらい、わけはありません。

17 Be sure to keep(A) the commands of the Lord your God and the stipulations and decrees he has given you.(B) 18 Do what is right and good in the Lord’s sight,(C) so that it may go well(D) with you and you may go in and take over the good land the Lord promised on oath to your ancestors, 19 thrusting out all your enemies(E) before you, as the Lord said.
