Curses for Disobedience

¹⁵ ‘But if you do not obey the Lord your God by carefully following all his commands and statutes I am giving you today, all these curses will come and overtake^(A) you:^(B)

¹⁰ He had commanded him about this, so that he would not follow other gods, but Solomon did not do what the Lord had commanded.^(A)

⁹ ‘As for you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father, and serve him wholeheartedly and with a willing mind,^(A) for the Lord searches every heart and understands the intention of every thought.^(B) If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you abandon him, he will reject you for ever.^(C)
