³⁷ When there is famine in the land,
when there is pestilence,
when there is blight or mildew, locust or grasshopper,^(A)
when their enemy besieges them
in the land and its cities,^[a]
when there is any plague or illness,

⁹ I struck you with blight and mildew;^(A)
the locust devoured^(B)
your many gardens and vineyards,
your fig trees and olive trees,^(C)
yet you did not return to me.^(D)
