³⁵ You were shown these things so that you would know that the Lord is God; there is no other besides him.^(A)

⁴ ‘Listen, Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.^[a](A)

³² Then the scribe said to him, ‘You are right, teacher. You have correctly said that he is one, and there is no one^(A) else except him.^(B)
