22 ‘When a man steals an ox or a sheep and butchers it or sells it, he must repay^(A) five cattle for the ox or four sheep for the sheep.

⁹ The commandments, Do not commit adultery; do not murder; do not steal;^[a] do not covet;^[b](A) and any other commandment, are summed up by this commandment: Love your neighbour as yourself.^[c](B)

²⁸ Let the thief no longer steal. Instead, he is to do honest work with his own hands, so that he has something to share^(A) with anyone in need.
