⁸ and I have come down to rescue them from the power of the Egyptians and to bring them from that land to a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey^(A) – the territory of the Canaanites, Hethites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites.^(B)

²⁹ The Amalekites^(A) are living in the land of the Negev; the Hethites, Jebusites, and Amorites live in the hill country; and the Canaanites live by the sea and along the Jordan.’

³¹ So Israel lived in the Amorites’ land.

¹⁰ For we have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea before you when you came out of Egypt,^(A) and what you did to Sihon and Og, the two Amorite kings you completely destroyed^(B) across the Jordan.
