6 But the Lord replied to Moses, ‘Now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh: because of a strong hand he will let them go, and because of a strong hand he will drive them from his land.’^(A)

⁹ Let it serve as a sign for you on your hand and as a reminder on your forehead,^[a](A) so that the Lord’s instruction may be in your mouth; for the Lord brought you out of Egypt with a strong hand.

¹⁷ The God of this people Israel chose our ancestors, made the people prosper during their stay in the land of Egypt, and led them out of it with a mighty^[a] arm.^(A)
