⁷ I will take you as my people,^(A) and I will be your God. You will know^(B) that I am the Lord your God, who brought you out from the forced labour of the Egyptians.

³⁸ I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt to give you the land of Canaan and to be your God.

⁴² They are not to be sold as slaves,^[a] because they are my servants^[b] that I brought out of the land of Egypt.

¹³ I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, so that you would no longer be their slaves. I broke the bars of your yoke^(A) and enabled you to live in freedom.^[a]

⁴⁵ For their sake I will remember the covenant with their ancestors, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations to be their God; I am the Lord.’
