Adamovi potomci
(1 Ljet 1,1-4)
5 Ovo je zapis o Adamovim potomcima.
Kad je Bog stvorio čovjeka, stvorio ga je da bude poput Boga. 2 Stvorio je muško i žensko. Nakon što ih je stvorio, blagoslovio ih je i nazvao »čovjek«.
3 Kad je Adam imao 130 godina, rodio mu se sin sličan njemu. Dao mu je ime Šet. 4 Nakon Šetovog rođenja, Adam je živio 800 godina. Dobio je još sinova i kćeri. 5 Tako je Adam živio ukupno 930 godina i umro.
6 Kad je Šet imao 105 godina, rodio mu se Enoš. 7 Nakon Enoševog rođenja, Šet je živio 807 godina. Dobio je još sinova i kćeri. 8 Tako je Šet živio ukupno 912 godina i umro.
9 Kad je Enoš imao 90 godina, rodio mu se Kenan. 10 Nakon Kenanovog rođenja, Enoš je živio 815 godina. Dobio je još sinova i kćeri. 11 Tako je Enoš živio ukupno 905 godina i umro.
12 Kad je Kenan imao 70 godina, rodio mu se Mahalalel. 13 Nakon Mahalalelovog rođenja, Kenan je živio 840 godina. Dobio je još sinova i kćeri. 14 Tako je Kenan živio ukupno 910 godina i umro.
15 Kad je Mahalalel imao 65 godina, rodio mu se Jared. 16 Nakon Jaredovog rođenja, Mahalalel je živio 830 godina. Dobio je još sinova i kćeri. 17 Tako je Mahalalel živio ukupno 895 godina i umro.
18 Kad je Jared imao 162 godine, rodio mu se Henok. 19 Nakon Henokovog rođenja, Jared je živio 800 godina. Dobio je još sinova i kćeri. 20 Tako je Jared živio ukupno 962 godine i umro.
21 Kad je Henok imao 65 godina, rodio mu se Metušalah. 22 Nakon Metušalahovog rođenja, Henok je živio u bliskom odnosu s Bogom[a] 300 godina. Dobio je još sinova i kćeri. 23 Tako je Henok živio ukupno 365 godina. 24 Henok je živio u bliskom odnosu s Bogom, a zatim je nestao, jer ga je uzeo Bog.
25 Kad je Metušalah imao 187 godina, rodio mu se Lamek. 26 Nakon Lamekovog rođenja, Metušalah je živio 782 godine. Dobio je još sinova i kćeri. 27 Tako je Metušalah[b] živio ukupno 969 godina i umro.
28 Kad je Lamek imao 182 godine, rodio mu se sin. 29 Dao mu je ime Noa[c], govoreći: »On će nam donijeti olakšanje od teškog i napornog fizičkog rada na zemlji koju je BOG prokleo.« 30 Nakon Noinog rođenja, Lamek je živio 595 godina. Dobio je još sinova i kćeri. 31 Tako je Lamek živio ukupno 777 godina i umro.
32 Kad je Noa imao 500 godina, rodili su mu se Šem, Ham i Jafet.

From Adam to Noah
5 This is the written account(A) of Adam’s family line.(B)
When God created mankind, he made them in the likeness of God.(C) 2 He created them(D) male and female(E) and blessed them. And he named them “Mankind”[a] when they were created.
3 When Adam had lived 130 years, he had a son in his own likeness, in his own image;(F) and he named him Seth.(G) 4 After Seth was born, Adam lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters. 5 Altogether, Adam lived a total of 930 years, and then he died.(H)
6 When Seth had lived 105 years, he became the father[b] of Enosh.(I) 7 After he became the father of Enosh, Seth lived 807 years and had other sons and daughters. 8 Altogether, Seth lived a total of 912 years, and then he died.
9 When Enosh had lived 90 years, he became the father of Kenan.(J) 10 After he became the father of Kenan, Enosh lived 815 years and had other sons and daughters. 11 Altogether, Enosh lived a total of 905 years, and then he died.
12 When Kenan had lived 70 years, he became the father of Mahalalel.(K) 13 After he became the father of Mahalalel, Kenan lived 840 years and had other sons and daughters. 14 Altogether, Kenan lived a total of 910 years, and then he died.
15 When Mahalalel had lived 65 years, he became the father of Jared.(L) 16 After he became the father of Jared, Mahalalel lived 830 years and had other sons and daughters. 17 Altogether, Mahalalel lived a total of 895 years, and then he died.
18 When Jared had lived 162 years, he became the father of Enoch.(M) 19 After he became the father of Enoch, Jared lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters. 20 Altogether, Jared lived a total of 962 years, and then he died.
21 When Enoch had lived 65 years, he became the father of Methuselah.(N) 22 After he became the father of Methuselah, Enoch walked faithfully with God(O) 300 years and had other sons and daughters. 23 Altogether, Enoch lived a total of 365 years. 24 Enoch walked faithfully with God;(P) then he was no more, because God took him away.(Q)
25 When Methuselah had lived 187 years, he became the father of Lamech.(R) 26 After he became the father of Lamech, Methuselah lived 782 years and had other sons and daughters. 27 Altogether, Methuselah lived a total of 969 years, and then he died.
28 When Lamech had lived 182 years, he had a son. 29 He named him Noah[c](S) and said, “He will comfort us in the labor and painful toil of our hands caused by the ground the Lord has cursed.(T)” 30 After Noah was born, Lamech lived 595 years and had other sons and daughters. 31 Altogether, Lamech lived a total of 777 years, and then he died.
32 After Noah was 500 years old,(U) he became the father of Shem,(V) Ham and Japheth.(W)
