²² But Abram said to the king of Sodom, ‘I have raised my hand in an oath to the Lord, God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth,

¹⁸ On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, ‘I give this land to your offspring,^(A) from the Brook of Egypt^(B) to the great river, the River Euphrates:

³ stay in this land as a foreigner, and I will be with you and bless you.^(A) For I will give all these lands to you and your offspring,^(B) and I will confirm the oath that I swore to your father Abraham.^(C)
