¹¹ The angel of the Lord said to her, ‘You have conceived and will have a son. You will name him Ishmael,^[a] for the Lord has heard your cry of affliction.

⁸ Moses continued, ‘The Lord will give you meat to eat this evening and all the bread you want in the morning, for he has heard the complaints that you are raising against him. Who are we? Your complaints are not against us but against the Lord.’^(A)

⁴⁵ When you returned, you wept before the Lord, but he didn’t listen to your requests or pay attention to you.

⁷ He said this about Judah:

¹⁴ There has been no day like it before or since, when the Lord listened to a man, because the Lord fought for Israel.^(A)
