¹⁴ The name of the third river is Tigris,^(A) which runs east of Assyria. And the fourth river is the Euphrates.^(B)

¹⁸ On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, ‘I give this land to your offspring,^(A) from the Brook of Egypt^(B) to the great river, the River Euphrates:

²⁴ Every place the sole of your foot treads will be yours.^(A) Your territory will extend from the wilderness to Lebanon and from the River Euphrates^[a] to the Mediterranean Sea.^(B)

²¹ Solomon ruled all the kingdoms from the River Euphrates to the land of the Philistines and as far as the border of Egypt.^(A) They offered tribute and served Solomon all the days of his life.^(B)

¹⁴ say to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, ‘Release the four angels^(A) bound at the great river Euphrates.’^(B)
