⁷ Then the Lord God formed the man out of the dust from the ground^(A) and breathed the breath of life into his nostrils,^(B) and the man became a living being.^(C)

¹⁷ ‘Understand that I am bringing a flood – floodwaters on the earth^(A) to destroy every creature under heaven with the breath of life in it. Everything on earth will perish.

¹⁵ Two of every creature that has the breath of life in it came to Noah and entered the ark.

²² Everything with the breath of the spirit of life in its nostrils^(A) – everything on dry land died.

⁵ This is what the Lord God says to these bones: I will cause breath to enter you, and you will live.^(A)
