²⁷ The seven thin, sickly cows that came up after them are seven years, and the seven worthless ears of corn scorched by the east wind are seven years of famine.^(A)

⁵⁴ and the seven years of famine began, just as Joseph had said. There was famine in every land, but in the whole land of Egypt there was food.
