²⁰ Then Noah built ^(A)an altar to the Lord, and took some of every kind of ^(B)clean animal and some of every clean bird and offered ^(C)burnt offerings on the altar.

⁷ And the Lord ^(A)appeared to Abram and said, “^(B)To your ^[a]descendants I will give this land.” So he built ^(C)an altar there to the Lord who had appeared to him.

⁸ Then he proceeded from there to the mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent with ^(A)Bethel on the west and Ai on the east; and there he built an altar to the Lord and ^(B)called upon the name of the Lord.
