¹⁶ The bow will be in the clouds, and I will look at it and remember the permanent covenant^(A) between God and all the living creatures on earth.’

⁷ I will confirm my covenant that is between me and you and your future offspring throughout their generations. It is a permanent covenant^(A) to be your God and the God of your offspring after you.^(B)

²¹ ‘As for me, this is my covenant with them,’^(A) says the Lord: ‘My Spirit who is on you, and my words that I have put in your mouth,^(B) will not depart from your mouth, or from the mouths of your children, or from the mouths of your children’s children, from now on and for ever,’ says the Lord.
