2 Man svär och ljuger,
mördar och stjäl och begår äktenskapsbrott.
Man far våldsamt fram,
och blodsdåd följer på blodsdåd.
3 Därför sörjer landet,
och allt som lever där tynar bort,
både djuren på marken
och fåglarna under himlen,
till och med fiskarna i havet förgås.
4 Ingen skall anklaga eller gå till rätta med någon annan.
Ditt folk liknar dem som anklagar en präst.

2 There is only cursing,[a] lying(A) and murder,(B)
stealing(C) and adultery;(D)
they break all bounds,
and bloodshed follows bloodshed.(E)
3 Because of this the land dries up,(F)
and all who live in it waste away;(G)
the beasts of the field, the birds in the sky
and the fish in the sea are swept away.(H)
4 “But let no one bring a charge,
let no one accuse another,
for your people are like those
who bring charges against a priest.(I)
