Isaiah 53:7-12
1599 Geneva Bible
7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet did he not [a]open his mouth: he is brought as a sheep to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearer is dumb, so he opened not his mouth.
8 He was taken out from [b]prison, and from judgment: [c]and who shall declare his age? for he was cut out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he plagued.
9 [d]And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, though he had done no wickedness, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
10 Yet the Lord would break him and make him subject to infirmities: when [e]he shall make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed and shall prolong his days, and the will of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.
11 He shall see of the [f]travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied; by his knowledge shall my [g]righteous servant justify many: for he shall bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore will I give him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong, because [h]he hath poured out his soul unto death; and he was counted with the transgressors, and he bare the sin [i]of many, and prayed for the trespassers.
