35 The wilderness and the dry land will be glad;
the desert will rejoice and blossom like a wildflower.^[a](A)
2 It will blossom abundantly
and will also rejoice with joy and singing.
The glory of Lebanon will be given to it,
the splendour of Carmel and Sharon.^(B)
They will see the glory of the Lord,^(C)
the splendour of our God.^(D)

¹⁹ I will plant cedar, acacia, myrtle, and olive trees
in the wilderness.^(A)
I will put juniper, elm, and cypress trees together
in the desert,

¹³ The glory of Lebanon will come to you^(A) –
its pine, elm, and cypress together^(B) –
to beautify the place of my sanctuary,
and I will glorify my dwelling place.^[a]
