4 On that day seven women
will seize one man,^(A) saying,
‘We will eat our own bread
and provide our own clothing.
Just let us bear your name.
Take away our disgrace.’^(B)

⁸ When he has swallowed up death once and for all,^(A)
the Lord God will wipe away the tears
from every face^(B)
and remove his people’s disgrace^(C)
from the whole earth,
for the Lord has spoken.
