²⁵ He was delivered up for^[a] our trespasses^(A) and raised for our justification.^(B)

³ For I passed on to you^(A) as most important what I also received: that Christ died^(B) for our sins according to the Scriptures,^(C)

²⁸ so also Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many,^(A) will appear a second time,^(B) not to bear sin, but^[a] to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.^(C)
