¹⁹ We have become like those you never ruled,
like those who did not bear your name.^(A)

65 ‘I was sought by those who did not ask;
I was found by those who did not seek me.
I said, “Here I am, here I am,”
to a nation that did not call on^[a] my name.^(A)

¹² so that they may possess
the remnant of Edom^(A)
and all the nations
that bear my name^[a](B) –
this is the declaration of the Lord; he will do this.

¹⁷ so that the rest of humanity
may seek the Lord –
even all the Gentiles
who are called by my name –
declares the Lord
who makes these things
