8 Then the Lord said to me, ‘Take a large piece of parchment^[a] and write on it with an ordinary pen:^[b](A) Maher-shalal-hash-baz.^{[c] 2} I have appointed^[d] trustworthy witnesses – the priest Uriah and Zechariah son of Jeberechiah.’^(B)

¹¹ For you the entire vision will be like the words of a sealed document.^(A) If it is given to one who can read and he is asked to read it,^[a] he will say, ‘I can’t read it, because it is sealed.’ ¹² And if the document is given to one who cannot read and he is asked to read it,^[b] he will say, ‘I can’t read.’
