²⁰ Go to God’s instruction and testimony!^(A) If they do not speak according to this word, there will be no dawn for them.

²¹ They will wander through the land, dejected and hungry. When they are famished, they will become enraged, and, looking upwards, will curse their king and their God. ²² They will look towards the earth^(B) and see only distress, darkness, and the gloom of affliction, and they will be driven into thick darkness.

¹¹ For you the entire vision will be like the words of a sealed document.^(C) If it is given to one who can read and he is asked to read it,^[b] he will say, ‘I can’t read it, because it is sealed.’ ¹² And if the document is given to one who cannot read and he is asked to read it,^[c] he will say, ‘I can’t read.’
