¹⁰ This is what the Lord says concerning these people:

³⁶ Just as I entered into judgement with your ancestors in the wilderness of the land of Egypt,^(A) so I will enter into judgement with you. This is the declaration of the Lord God.

¹² He has carried out his words^(A) that he spoke against us and against our rulers^[a](B) by bringing on us a disaster that is so great that nothing like what has been done to Jerusalem has ever been done^(C) under all of heaven.
