¹³ Lord, the hope of Israel,^(A)
all who abandon you
will be put to shame.
All who turn away from me
will be written in the dirt,
for they have abandoned
the Lord, the fountain of living water.^(B)

Their adversaries said, ‘We’re not guilty;
instead, they have sinned against the Lord,
their righteous grazing land,^(A)
the hope of their ancestors,^(B) the Lord.’
