²⁴ The earth^[a] is handed over to the wicked;
he blindfolds^[b] its judges.^(A)
If it isn’t he, then who is it?

¹⁴ Therefore, I will again confound these people
with wonder after wonder.^(A)
The wisdom of their wise will vanish,^(B)
and the perception of their perceptive will be hidden.

²⁵ who destroys the omens of the false prophets
and makes fools of diviners;
who confounds the wise
and makes their knowledge foolishness;^(A)
