³⁹ This is the will of him who sent me: that I should lose none of those he has given me but should raise^(A) them up on the last day.

⁶ I am sure of this, that he who started a good work^(A) in you^[a] will carry it on to completion^(B) until the day of Christ Jesus.

⁵ You are being guarded by God’s power^(A) through faith for a salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.^(B)

³ Above all, be aware of this: Scoffers will come in the last days^(A) scoffing and following their own evil desires,

¹⁸ They told you, ‘In the end time^(A) there will be scoffers^(B) living according to their own ungodly desires.’
