³⁵ A slave does not remain in the household for ever,^(A) but a son does remain for ever.^(B)

³⁴ Then the crowd replied to him, ‘We have heard from the law that the Messiah will remain for ever.^(A) So how can you say, “The Son of Man^(B) must be lifted up”? Who is this Son of Man? ’
