⁶ I sank to the foundations of the mountains,^(A)
the earth’s gates shut behind me forever!^(B)
Then you raised my life^(C) from the Pit, Lord my God!^(D)
7 As my life was fading away,^(E)
I remembered the Lord,^(F)
and my prayer came to you,^(G)
to your holy temple.^(H)
8 Those who cherish worthless idols^(I)
abandon their faithful love,^(J)
