Jonah 2:6-10

⁶ I ^(A)went down to the ^[a]base of the mountains.
The earth with its ^(B)bars closed behind me forever,
But You have ^(C)brought up my life from ^[b]the pit, O Yahweh my God.
⁷ While my soul was ^(D)fainting within me,
I ^(E)remembered Yahweh,
And my ^(F)prayer came to You,
To ^(G)Your holy temple.
⁸ Those who ^(H)regard worthless idols
Forsake their lovingkindness,
⁹ But as for me, I will ^(I)sacrifice to You
With the voice of thanksgiving.
That which I have vowed I will ^(J)pay.
^(K)Salvation belongs to Yahweh.”
