²² I will send wild animals against you that will deprive you of your children, ravage your livestock, and reduce your numbers until your roads are deserted.^(A)

⁶ Then the Lord sent poisonous^[a] snakes among the people, and they bit them so that many Israelites died.^(A)

²⁵ When they first lived there, they did not fear the Lord. So the Lord sent lions among them, which killed some of them.^(A)

¹⁷ I will send famine and dangerous animals against you. They will leave you childless. Plague and bloodshed will sweep through you, and I will bring a sword against you. I, the Lord, have spoken.’^(A)
