¹³ No^(A) servant can serve two masters, since either he will hate^(B) one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.’

⁴ Who are you to judge^(A) another’s household servant? Before his own Lord he stands or falls. And he will stand, because the Lord is able^[a] to make him stand.

¹⁸ Household slaves, submit to your masters^(A) with all reverence^(B) not only to the good and gentle ones but also to the cruel.^(C)
