¹³ He was in the wilderness for forty days, being tempted^(A) by Satan.^(B) He was with the wild animals,^(C) and the angels^(D) were serving him.

¹⁵ Some are like the word sown on the path.^(A) When they hear, immediately Satan^(B) comes and takes away the word^(C) sown in them.^[a]

³³ But turning around and looking at his disciples, he rebuked Peter and said, ‘Get behind me, Satan!^(A) You are not thinking about God’s concerns^[a] but human concerns.’
