14 He also appointed 12—He also named them apostles[a](A)—to be with Him, to send them out to preach,(B) 15 and to have authority to[b] drive out demons.
16 He appointed the Twelve:[c](C)
To Simon,(D) He gave the name Peter;(E)
17 and to James(F) the son of Zebedee,(G)
and to his brother John,(H)
He gave the name “Boanerges”
(that is, “Sons of Thunder”(I));
18 Andrew;(J)
Philip(K) and Bartholomew;
Matthew(L) and Thomas;(M)
James the son of Alphaeus,
and Thaddaeus;
Simon the Zealot,[d]
19 and Judas Iscariot,[e](N)
who also betrayed Him.
