²⁹ ‘But you,’ he asked them, ‘who do you say that I am? ’

Peter^(A) answered him, ‘You are the Messiah.’^{(B) 30} And he strictly warned^(C) them to tell no one about him.

³¹ Then^(D) he began to teach them that it was necessary for the Son of Man^(E) to suffer many things and be rejected^(F) by the elders,^(G) chief priests, and scribes,^(H) be killed, and rise^(I) after three days.^(J)
