⁴³ ‘And if your hand causes you to fall away, cut it off.^(A) It is better for you to enter life maimed^(B) than to have two hands and go to hell, the unquenchable fire.^[a](C)

⁶ And the tongue is a fire. The tongue, a world of unrighteousness, is placed^[a] among our members. It stains the whole body,^(A) sets the course of life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell.
