²² Jesus answered, ‘You don’t know what you’re asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I am about to drink? ’^[a](A)

‘We are able,’ they said to him.

³⁰ ‘I can do nothing on my own. I judge only as I hear, and my judgement^(A) is just,^(B) because I do not seek my own will, but the will of him who sent me.^(C)

³⁸ For I have come down from heaven,^(A) not to do my own will, but the will of him^(B) who sent me.

⁷ During his earthly life,^[a] he offered prayers and appeals^(A) with loud cries and tears^(B) to the one who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence.
